Around 1000 fans gathered on July 7, 1998 at the Jardin Anglais on the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva to watch the semi-final game between Brazil and Holland. A large tent had been set up with a big screen TV. Televisions were set up outside the tent and at a nearby restaurant to handle the large number of fans who came out to see this important and exciting match. A group of Brazilian drummers kept the crowd going inside the tent.
A young Brazil fan cheers outside the tent.
Tension mounts in the second half.
Holland scores with just seconds left on the clock.
Overtime action is intense (in tents)!
Brazil takes their first penalty kick...
and it's a goal!
Holland: He shoots...
and Brazil fans celebrate late into the night.
